Woodland Cemetery (Monroe, MI)
Save the Flags was honored to be invited to attend and participate in a very special military marker dedication ceremony at Woodland Cemetery in Monroe, Michigan on Sunday, May 18, 2025. Sixteen-year-old, Austin Ingall of Temperance, MI secured a military marker for Private Aaron Bromley who fought with the First Michigan Colored Infantry Regiment. Austin then organized and led the unveiling ceremony which included prayers, songs and speeches—as any good ceremony does. Private Bromley’s service and sacrifice is now finally appropriately marked and honored, thanks to the work of this young man.
