The Unequivocal Support of the NWNSSA
Save the Flags was honored once again to attend the regional shoot of the Northwest Territory of the North South Skirmish Association in Laingsburg, Michigan on Sunday morning, July 26, 2026. The NWNSSA presented a $1,000 donation to adopt a national flag, SC-18-90, carried by the First Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Civil War.
This adoption marks the 6th for the NWNSSA. We are honored by our longtime association with the members of this national organization and so appreciative of their support.
Special thanks to Bruce Miller and the regional commander Ed Walters and to Michigan Army National Guard Command Historian Adam Betz.
