Flag Adoption in Honor of Corporal Telling

Sherry Telling adopted the flag of the Sixth Michigan Cavalry Regiment on November 17, 2025. Ms. Telling is the great-great niece of Corporal George Telling of Argentine, Michigan, who enlisted with the 6th Mich. Cavalry, Company D, at the age of 18 in September of 1862, at the formation of the regiment.  Corporal Telling was killed in action at the battle of Boonsboro, Maryland on July 8, 1863.
