Jeff Payne Visits Save the Flags
Jeff Payne recently visited the archival flag storage facility to view and pay his respects to the colors of the 14th Michigan Volunteer Infantry Regiment. Jeff is a family member of Private Pascal Odette of Ecorse, Michigan who enlisted with Company H of the 14th at formation and was killed in action August 7, 1864 at the Battle of Utoy Creek, Georgia during the Atlanta Campaign. Pascal was of Canadian Meti heritage and had settled with his family in Michigan to farm. He is buried in an unmarked grave in Marietta, Georgia.
Thanks to Jeff for his visit and his support of Save the Flags.
